Empowerment of New International Students
Keep Calm And Book Yourself A Holiday
Organize events for New International Students to connect with one another to prevent isolation, and to keep abreast of information pertaining to international students in Canada. All events are coordinated in collaboration to promote and provide culturally appropriate and tailored services to meet the needs of international students.
To provide new comers and arrivals of international students of different nationalities with knowledge to adjust to Canadian culture and society while maintaining their cultural heritage.
Organize games and entertainment for international students
Assist international students in finding jobs.
Assist international students in accessing social services.
Assist international students in connecting with other immigrants to reduce the amount of social isolation.
Protection of Visitors and Refugees
To help refugees or people who leave their homes to Canada because of persecution of religion, race, nationality, membership in a group, political opinion and others.
To meet the most urgent needs of forcibly displaced (i.e. extremely vulnerable populations) including women, children, and people with disabilities.
Research and Development
To conduct research and help in enhancing knowledge on current issues, and to develop innovative solutions based on the research to deal with social problems.
Humanitarian Aid
Education in emergencies
To help children caught in crises go back to and stay in education through various formal and non-formal education pathways.
Climate change environment
To support the most vulnerable people affected by crises caused or worsened by climate change which affects the pattern and severity of extreme weather events, which have become more frequent and less predictable
Disaster preparedness
To help governments and communities invest in understanding risks and building preparedness capacities for pre-emptive and early action in connection with exposure to disasters as a result of increasing population growth, rapid and unplanned urbanization, climate change, environmental degradation and widespread poverty.
Gender and age sensitive aid
This includes protection strategies against sexual and gender-based violence.
Disability inclusion
To consider the specific needs of persons with disabilities who often face barriers that prevent their full access to humanitarian assistance and protection
Forgotten crisis
Helping the most vulnerable people who have been forgotten by international media and donors, leading to a lack of funding and efforts to resolve their situation
Shelter and settlements
To help communities that are displaced or in anticipation of conflict, violence or disasters through immediate shelter response, with technical support and capacity building, financial assistance (including cash assistance and rental support) as well as building supplies.
Non-governmental Support function
Improving government performance: to make sure that the government responds to citizen concerns and finds solutions, increasing its accountability.
To advise the government about the requirements, skills, and pursuits of the local populace, inform & educate people about the policies and initiatives of the Government.
To support and facilitate the participation of undeserved communities and aid in the preservation of varied populations’ cultural traditions.
To offer education, training, and technical assistance to those in need.
To reach out to the groups of individuals that government programs frequently ignore.

Every minute of this event was packed with new experiences and discoveries. Meeting many young people with the same goals and ambitions as mine, made this experience so much more enjoyable. I was also surrounded by an accepting community that supported each other at all times. I can only say this experience is definitely one of the greatest experiences I will ever encounter in my life.
